• The Secretary of State for Wales, Mr Peter Thomas, has made a 75 per cent grant to Carmarthenshire County Council towards the estimated cost of improving a 1295 yd section of the LlanelliCarmarthen Principal Road A484, from north of the access road to Penybedd to near Speedway Garage, Penbrey (Lando Road). The work is expected to take 12 months to complete.
