IT has been drawn to our attention that I the chairman of the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners, Major F. S. Eastwood, did not refer to objections as " stupid " in the case of an application for fares incrcases.by Doncaster Corporation transport (The Commercial A/to:or, August 24).
The comment in fact made was as follows: ." The Commissioners regret that, as so often happens," applications in the Doncaster area develop into wrangles between the local operators and the Corporation. It is time that all operators got together and behaved sensibly."
