• The agreement between the Institute of Transport and the Industrial Transport Association to adopt the same syllabus for the graduateship examination will become effective in East Anglia during the present education session. Following a meeting in Norwich, under the chairmanship of Mr J. Fitzmaurice, 20 students have registered for the course. The City College, Norwich, had agreed to start the course with as few as 12.
The ITA told CM this week that more than 160 members had registered for the one-day conference to be held in Birmingham on Tuesday, November 17. "Indications are that the course will be fully subscribed," said Mr G. Douglas, the Association's secretary.
