• Distinctive markings for school coaches are being con: dered by the Department of Transport. Consultation proposals are being circulated no and at least one county counc will introduce them on a trial basis in January.
The DTp is also encouragir local authorities to specify vet des fitted with safety belts when children are being carried, and eventually the Department wants to see belts c all coach and minibus seats.
