Safety Belts: Glasgow Corporation Accident Prevention Committee is proposing that safety belts should be installed to the front seats of all vehicles owned by the Corporation. It is also recommending that safety belts should be made compulsory for all cars and is approaching the Ministry of Transport.

New Workshop: Walter Alexander and Co. (Coachbuilders) Ltd., of Camelon, .Falkirk, has been granted approval for a 121,000 workshop at its Glasgow Road, Camelon premises.

Lorry Output: According to a spokesman of Daimler-Benz AG, the Stuttgart, West Germany, manufacturers of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. the Daimler-Benz-Auto Union group of West Germany currently produces some 14.7 per cent of all goods vehicles in West Germany and 9.7 per cent of the Common Market total.

Bussing Shares: The Brunswick, West Germany. goods vehicle and motorbus manufacturer, Bussing Automobilwerke AG, is expected shortly to sell a 26 per cent holding in its basic capital of DM 20 million to the Saligitttr mining and steelworks group, of Salzgitter, West Germany. The latter firm is stated already to have an option on the share parcel concerned.
