A range of Dustbane vacuum cleaners, a floor scrubber and a scrubbing/vacuum cleaner come from the New Romney Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Dustbane appliances are also made by the Dustbane Company of Ontario, Canada.
Weighing only 11-ilb, a portable cleaner is known as the 69PC188 Back-Vac and can be strapped on the operative's back. It is claimed for the Dustbane UZ-154/10P 81 cu.ft./min. cleaner that the appliance is particularly suitable for opera tions involving water pick-up, while the VA-153/20P is a threestage turbine model that is designed to operate at the low noise level of 65dB. Both models weigh about 64/651b, the capacity of the last named being 79 cu.ftimin.
Designed for industrial use, the UZ-152/15P is a high-velocity machine having a capacity of 94 cu.ft./min. that is also suitable for picking-up water and features a triple filtration system. The new floor scrubber is known as the UP-119H and polishes as well as scrubs. It weighs 1121b.
The largest machine in the range, the Dustbane BPC20 is a battery-operated scrubber/ vacuum cleaner and will clean up to 16,000 sq.ft. per hour, the absence of a power lead being a valuable safety feature with regard to pedestrians. It will operate up to 2hr 40min on a charge.
