Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

An air conditioning unit which freshens and circulates air in winter, cools it in summer and also provides the correct level of relative humidity, has been announced by Air Improvement Services Ltd.

The units called Airlux—are made of special high-grade plastics and consist of a set of individual exchangeable components such as base, jet-nozzle, suction nozzle and evaporation chamber. The conventional ventilation fan has been replaced by a complete atomization disc surrounded by calibrated air /water orifices.

By drawing air into the mixing chamber where atomized cold water particles are added, the air is considerably cooled and then blown back—correctly humidified—by means of a directional air-cone.

ice-cubes can be added to the mixing chamber to increase the cooling effect and a few drops of air-freshening liquid to overcome stale or unpleasant odours.

The Airlux measures 14.5in. diameter by 10in, high, weighs 7Ib and consumes 50W.

Made by: Air Improvement Services Ltd., 21 Foxley Lane, Purley, Surrey.

Price: £24 19s 6d.
