Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE preamble of the Llanelly District HE Bill is to proceed, having been -allowed by the House of Lords Select Committee. The measure seeks to discontinue trolleybus services and run motorbuses in the area. It is being promoted by the South Wales-Transport Co., Ltd.

A proviso was added to the Bill by the chairman of the committee that Llanelly Corporation be given the option to buy at an agreed price, after 20 years, that part of the undertaking which The company purchaSed from the Electricity Board. Three years' notice must be given. Furthermore, the monopoly rights of the company should cease three years after the Bill's coming into force.

Llanetly Corporation and Carmarthen County Council lodged objections to the Bill. Services in" the area were described in "The Commercial Motor" on May 9.

BODYWORK PRIZE-WINNERS I N this year's drawing and handicraft

competition, arranged by the lnstirute of British Carriage and Automobile Manufacturers, in association with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, National Federation of Vehicle Trades and Worshipful Company of Coach Harness Makers of London, there were four sections devoted to commercial vehicles. One was for a drawing of a full-fronted single-deck city service -bus body, designed for mounting on an underfloor-engined chassis, one for a design for a mobile office and the other two, in the handicraft competition, were for a model of a sliding coach door and for a handbeaten ticket box.

First prize in the single-decker competition Was gained by Mr. K. A. G. Hunt, London, N.4., and second prize went to .Mr. S H. G. W. Anderson, Aberdeen. third place was taken by Mr. J. Fyfe, Alva, Claekrnannan. The

first prize is £75 and the medal of the Worshipful Company..'

The winners of the mobile-office competition were Mr. J. Jenkins, Addlestone, Mr. E. G. Broadbent, Sandbach, Mr. L. B. Langley, Luton, and Mr. S. R. Jackson, Southall.
