Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Oil from coal-tar is being produced by the gas department of Belfast Corporation; the anticipated yearly output is half a million gallons, and the cost is expected to be considerably below that of petrol. It has been tested in vehicles operated by the Belfast Omnibus Co., Ltd., and the results are claimed to be satisfactory.

Glasgow Bus Innovation.

Glasgow Corporation is experimenting with a novel type of upper-deck emergency exit for buses. The righthand front window of one of the older bodies has been made to slide over the left-hand section, leaving an adequate opening through which a passenger could climb. The sliding panel can also be used for ventilation purposes.

R.A.F. Apprentices Wanted.

Four hundred aircraft apprentices are required by the Royal Air Force; boys must be between the ages of 15 and 17 years. Full details may be obtained from the Secretary, Air Ministry, Aircraft Apprentices' Dept., Gwydyr House, Whitehall, London, S.W.I.

Abergavenny's Bus Station.

Departmental sanctions have now been received by Abergavenny Town Council to its proceeding with the erection of a municipal bus station to be leased to all the local bus companies. The scheme

has taken much time to put through, but it is one which has been the subject of compliments to the council on its initiative from the Area Traffic Act Commissioners. The tenders for the erection of the building will be solicited almost immediately, and the building will probably be completed and in use by the end of the summer.

The station, the site of which is the Swan Meadow, is designed to give each company its own offices.

A Seven-days' Tour for £4 15s.

Messrs. Furey's Tours, Upper O'Connell Street, Dublin, have added to their activities a seven-days' conducted tour through the counties of Dublin, Wicklow and Meath. The cost of the trip, including first-class accommodation and 3324 meals, is £4 15s.—a remarkably low rate.

Mr. T. J. Furey, the head of the finn, who has booking arrangements with over 200 British tourist agencies, and another 100 on the Continent and in America, is adding three of the latesttype A.E.C. Regal coaches to his present fleet.

A.E.C. Marketing Arrapgements.

On June 24th the Associated Equipment Co., Ltd., opened a branch depot at 1 and 2, Lloyd's Chambers, Lloyd's Avenue, Ipswich. This depot will cover the area embracing Norfolk, "Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. Mr. E. R. tfollands is the manager.

In New Zealand representation is now in the hands of Messrs. CoryWright and Salmon Dominion Farmers' Institute, Featherston Street, Wellington, with a branch at Auckland.

In Denmark A.E.C.s are now handled by Messrs. Sven Caning, 19, Montergade, Copenhagen.
