Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A CAR travelling the wrong way on the M6 was brought to a halt by motorway police with the help of HGV drivers last week (23 January). The Nissan Cashgai, driven by a 70-year-old man, was spotted in the outside lane on the southbound carriageway between junctions 4 and 3. Concerned motorists alerted police, who tracked the vehicle on CCTV

Sergeant Dave Lonsdale, from the Central Motorway Police Group, said: "HGV drivers on the northbound carriageway matched the speed of the offending vehicle, at between 20mph and 30mph, and flashed their headlights to warn southbound traffic."
