Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

No warning • Crossley Transport driver Trevor Jones has been awarded £4,565 compensation for unfair dismissal. A Manchester Industrial Tribunal heard that Jones was made redundant with the words "you're finished" without any explanation or warning.

Lost temper • A claim for unfair dismissal by a lorry driver who walked out on MJM Freight Services has been rejected by a Birmingham Industrial Tribunal. Thomas Evans claimed that he was constructively dismissed.

Equipment blamed • North Western LA Martin Albu has taken no action against Blackpool-based Raymond Baguley following a failure to notify convictions. Baguley's licence authorisation was increased from two to four vehicles after he explained that lifting equipment fitted to a vehicle had caused overloading problems.

Blair cleared • Armagh-based David Blair, trading as Blair International, has been cleared of overloading an artic by 3,600kg.

Wallchart offer • CM can supply a series of 'Law on the Wall' charts. Each poster covers a separate area of transport law: weights and dimensions, Special Types regs, the new LGV driver licensing rules and lighting regulations. They cost £2 each (inc p&p) from CM, Room L431, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Surrey SM2 5AS — cheques payable to Commercial Motor. Allow 28 days for delivery.
