Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

GGREAT progress in the fabrication of plastics parts for .buses ha's ben made by Edinburgh Transport 'Department. The decrease tin weight attributable to the use of plastics components is stated to have improved the fuel-consumption rate from 8i M.p.g. to 10 m.P.g., or 1,000 gal. of oil fuel a year per vehicle. •

Parts now being made of resin-bonded plastics are mudguards, wings, corner pieces and roof dornes. It is hoped to be able to make a bonnet completely of plastics, and the possibility of building a roof entirely of plastics is being studied.
