• NFC subsidiary National Carriers Contract Services (NCCS) has won a new 2500,000 contract with TPT (General Products Division) for the distribution of TPT's paper, board and packaging products.
As part of the deal NCCS has brought up TPT's fleet of vehicles and rationalised the transport activity, centralising the traffic movements around the main production unit at Milnrow near Rochdale.
NCCS is operating seven Mercedes tractor units, two rigid curtain-sided vehicles and 14 tautliner trailers. By specifying larger capacity vehicles the number of deliveries made by the new single dedicated fleet has increased by 27%.
