Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

There's nothing quite like Truckfest. Over the past decade it has grown into Europe's premier showcase event for trucks and truckers: it celebrates its 10th anniversary in style on 4-6 May. Be there.

Twelve years ago a group of truckers were indulging in a pint and a grumble session in an East Anglian pub. The talk turned to the lack of real shows for truck drivers and operators.

Car drivers had the Motor Show and Motorfair; boat owners had the Boat Show; householders had the Ideal Home Exhibition. But there was nothing for the HGV fraternity.

And there it would have stayed, had the conversation not been overheard by a local promoter. From that humble beginning has grown Europe's most spectacular trucking extravaganza, Commercial Motor Truckfest, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year with the best programme to date.

Truckfest has always prided itself on attracting the best monster trucks and jet wagons — but this year we've surpassed ourselves with the arrival of Full Metal Jacket, This twin-engined tracked car crusher is one of only two twin-engined vehicles on the American show circuit. It will be in action on both days at Truckfest. Custom trucks always get a good reception at Peterborough and this year there'll be plenty on show, including the bonneted Mack R676 tractor owned by John Scholley of Driffield, East Yorks as well as Continental entries from Scandinavia, including the superb Volvo F16 drawbar outfit from Abbekas Akeri which was the 1990 Nordic Trophy winner.

Look out for all the old favourites at Peterborough too, like Steve Murty's Pirelli Pro-Jet Cargo, and the High-Performer .wheelie wagon, complete with flames. Mudlarks among you will be able to get stuck into a major display of 4x4s.

But this remains a trucker's show. At its heart are the working trucks entered by hundreds of hauliers from throughout the country. This year entries to the best-kept truck competitions have exceeded our wildest dreams with a record number competing for the cash prizes and coveted trophies.

CM will have some special features on its own stand this year. Four of the country's II. leading experts on transport law will be on hand to help you solve any legal problems you might have. Lawyers Jonathan Lawton, Stephen Kirk-bright and Gary Hodgson, like consultant Colin Ward, all appear regularly in CM and they'll be at your service, free of charge, from 11.00-13.00 and from 14.30-17.00hrs each clay.

We'll also be displaying all the vehicles which won our 1992 Testers Choice awards and we'll be offering special roadtest reprints of these and others from the stand. If you're looking for a wagon our roadtests will tell you how thirsty, fast and heavy it is. Our technical team will be on hand throughout the two days if you need advice or simply want to talk trucks.

If you can't afford a new one, then you should find what you want at Trucicmart—a marketplace for used vehicles which is being featured at Truckfest for the first time.
