Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE old-established Unic Co. will be exhibiting two new Models at the forthcoming Salon des Poids Lourd in Paris ; they are a 16-25 h.p. four-cylinder 30-cwt. chassis and a 2-ton chassis with a similar engine. Both models follow closely on the lines of existing Unic chassis, but embody certain refinements, and each shows that thoroughness in design which has always been a special characteristic of Unic products.

The engine employed in these chassis has a bore of 80 mm. and a stroke of 130 mm., and the cylinder head is detachable. The camshaft is driven by a silent chain, whilst the dynamo and the fan are mounted on a single shaft and driven by belt. A centrifugal governor is fitted operating on the throttle of the Viel carburetter, and the ignition is by an automatically advancing magneto.

Unit construction is employed for the engine, multiple disc clutch and four-speed gearbox, and a central position is arranged for the gear-change and hand-brake levers.

Transmission from gearbox to rear axle is by open propeller shaft, equipped with the special Tithe universal joints, and in the case of the 2-ton chassis a double-reduction gear is located in the rear axle.

Four-wheel braking is naturally employed, and, in addition, there is a powerful transmission brake situated at the rear of the gearbox in the case of the 2-tonner.

The suspension is by semi-elliptic springs, both at the front and the rear. Michelin disc wheels are fitted, twin rear wheels being standard to both models, although single wheels at the rear are optional. A dashboard fuel tank is employed, with gravity feed to the carburetter. Other chassis details are, for the 3.0-cwt. Model, wheelbase, 10 ft. 9 ins.; track, 4 ft. 9 ins.; overall length, 15 ft. 6* ins.; body space, 11 ft. 5i ins.; weight without tyres, 2,425 lb. For the 2-tonner, wheelbase, 11 ft. 9i ins.; track, 5 ft. 1 in. ; overall length, 17 ft.; body space, 12 ft. 84 ins.; weight without tyres, 2,755 lb.
