• The Industrial Transport Association has invited Lord St. Helens to become its new president. His Lordship was formerly Mr. H. C. Hughes-Young, Conservative MP for St. Helens, and was deputy Government chief whip from 1959-1964. The ITA will make a presentation to retiring president Lord Wakefield in the House of Commons on June 21, following its a.g.m. at the Royal Society of Arts, John Adam Street, London, WC2.
