Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

EMPLOYING a Thames Trader 6D van with Walker insulated bodywork, Wolsey Bros. (Wholesale), Ltd., Smithfield. Market, London, are sending meat' to Paris via the Townsend Dover-Calais ferry instead of using rail-sea facilities. The advantages are a reduction in the amount of handling, and an increase in speed of delivery—particularly important during warm weather.

Mr. N. J. Wolsey, director of the company, told The Commercial Motor that, cruising. at 38-40 m.p.h. across Northern France, it was possible to make the round trip in 18 hours. lt,was hoped in future to make up to four deliveries weekly.

The company also export to other European countries by rail and sea; and are considering direct delivery by road vehicle to Brussels. Milan and Rome. Only delivery of high-grade meat, however, is economic. Loads comprise mainly beef.

The first trip involved a three-hour Customs delay at Calais while the French authorities made a thorough inspection of the load.
