MR. DEREK MACK, son of Mr. A. G. Mack, governing director of Mack's Hauliers, Ltd., has joined the board.
MR. S. C. HAYWARD, Of Messrs. Sheriff and Hayward, Gainsborough, who have run buses for over 25 years, has retired.
Mn. T. W. TOWERS has been confirmed in his appointment as operating manager, trams and trolleybuses, of the London Passenger Transport Board.
MR. J. E. Mclivrosti, an alternate director and chief engineer of Briggs Motor Bodies, Ltd., has become managing director. He replaces Mn. N. H. MANNING, who has retired.
Mn. P. W. OSBORN has become Bristol manager of the North British Rubber Co., Ltd., in succession to Mn. A. E. HUMPHRY, who has retired. Presentations were recently made to Mr. Humphry by the management and staff.
Mn. H. DYMOND, service manager of the Associated Equipment Co., Ltd., has left England on a five months' tour of India and South Africa. During his absence, MR. H. Eciturr, assistant service manager, will take over his duties at Southall.

has been appointed chief development engineer of the " Westinghouse Brake and Signal Co., Ltd. Mn. L. E. THOMPSON, B.Sc., A.R.C.S., is now chief electrical engineer; Mn. K. H. LEECH. B.Sc.. chief design engineer, and MR. N. G. CADMAN, chief brake engineer.
Ma. F. J. SPEIGHT, secretary of, George Ewer and Co.. Ltd., has been appointed a director of the company, along with Mn. W. H. EWER and CAPT. H. G. EWER, who are sons of the founder directors and have now returned from the Services. Mr. Speight is chairman of the Passenger Vehicle Operators' Association and a director of P.S.V. Operators,, Ltd.
MR. J. . A. JOHNSON has been appointed regional manager for the northern part of England of the India Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd, in succession to Mn.. II. F. Goimmv," who was recently appointed general manager of the India Tyre Co. in South Africa. Mn, LESLIE ASHTON succeeds Mr. Johnson as manager of the agricultural and industrial department.
Mn. J. W. S. BRANCKER has been elected to the council of the Institute of Transport, in succession to SIR HamTON Nrctiom, K.B.E., C.B., yaho has resigned.
