Every 14 February the Hawk is faced with the onerous task of wading through the masses of Valentine cards that come flooding through his letter box. (In your dreams!—Ed). Meanwhile, back in the real world, express parcels carrier Parceline was supporting the Variety Club of Great Britain's Gold Heart Appeal.
Over the past 10 years Parceline has raised half a million pounds for the Variety Club. This year the company transported a million gold hearts from the charity's warehouse in Brentford to Parceline's Leicester depot. From there the hearts were distributed to retail outlets throughout the country in time for -Gold Heart Day" on 14 February.
Parceline's general manager of human resources. Michael Doolin (pictured) says: -Parceline has been committed to supporting the Variety Club for many years and we are delighted to be able to deliver a million gold hearts to help even more children with special needs."
