AMERICAN company has announced a new large capacity namometer, said to be capable of testing the most powerful hides likely to be made in the next decade.
The model 12000D chassis dynamometer made by AW riarnometer of Illinois has a capacity of 1,000hp at 60mph and fitted with a patented traction booster, said to eliminate tyre ppage and heating.
The rollers are adjustable to accommodate from 44 to 60in 'ye-wheel spacing, allowing single or tandem-axle units to be ted.
The dynamometer's controls can be operated from the vehics driving seat and the readout can also be taken from this sition.
