Atkinson joint spares set-up
• A new company in the Seddon Diesel group was announced this week, Seddon Atkinson Spares and Service Ltd, established to deal with all spares and service matters for both makes of vehicle. It will become operative after July 1 at the Atkinson spares and service centre at Bamber Bridge, Preston, and will be equipped to undertake Seddon vehicle service by August 1 and provide Seddon spares by November 1.
Its chief function will be as a supply agency to the main area distributors for both makes of vehicle, and there will be some rationalization of spares for the two marques.
Managing director of the new company is Mr J. D. Gregson, a director of Seddon Diesel Holdings.
