• The new legislation designed to reduce bridge bashing faces a six-month delay. Changes to C&U regulations governing high-sided vehicles will now come into effect in June next year, instead of January.
The draft legislation states a vehicle must have a height notice in the cab for vehicles more than 3m high and operators must give two days' notice of their route to relevant highways authorities.
