Take cover
• The Freight Transport Association's insurance arm has widened the cover it offers for its members with insurance broker Bain Clarkson.
The new package replaces the five-year-old Flexi Transit cover and has substantially lower minimum premium requirements.
It gives cover for goods in transit, trailers and containers as well as liability for freight forwarders, carriers and warehousekeepers.

Chilling move
• Topmark, the Vilt Midlands-based commercial vehicle contract hire and rental firm, has added refrigerated units to its truck fleet. Hauliers can spot hire reefers on the Refrigerent service on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
