Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CONFUSED BY all the claims and counter-claims over fuel and oil additives or citherfuel-saving devices? Nanoboron (CM20 November 2008) is looking for fleet operators prepared to provide vehicles for long-term fuel trials to test its oil additive, which CM will report on.

The kind of operator it is looking for will have a firm grip on fleet fuel consumption, keep meticulous records, operate to agreed manufacturer service schedules, and run regular routes — ideally with the same trailer and driver and with regular loads. The aim is to generate repeatable and comparable data that can prove the effectiveness of aftermarket products, thereby helping readers make an informed choice on such products or devices.

The trials are likely to last a minimum of six months, so operators willing to participate must be prepared to monitor a vehicle and keep data for that period at the very least, plus provide benchmark figures for a test vehicle before any additive is tested.
