If you spotted a group of dinner jacketed transport men slipping into Ealing Technical College last Thursday it was not, as your might have imagined, a TML graduation ceremony. John Silbermann's company was celebrating its 30th anniversary and quite a party it was, I'm told. You see, they don't invite me to parties in case I write something nasty. So I've got to depend on carried stories.
Anyway, I understand John had nothing to hide. It was — in the words of our man at the party — a good do. With a perfectionist like John looking after things, what else?
