THE TRANSPORT and General Workers' Union campaign against the use of tachographs (before 1982) appears to be losing support.
The Union's Road Transport Commercial Group national committee is getting little information from the regions about tachograph operation and is again asking branches to give information about the number of companies in their areas which are using tachographs.
Clearance to hold a special meeting to review the situation is being sought, but it is thought unlikely that a meeting will take place.
