HOUSE OF COMMONS transport committee member Gary Waller (Conservative, Brighouse and Spenborough) has succeeded Epsom and Ewell MP Archie Hamilton as Transport Secretary David Howell's Parliamentary Private Secretary.
Mr Waller has been an MP since May 1979, and first fought in a general election in 1974. He has also contested London Borough and Greater London Council seats.
His place on the transport committee has still to be filled.
