ENERGY and Waste Systems Ltd of Westbury, Wilts is now marketing the Go-Gator and Terra-Gator chassis cab for an on/off and off highway application on soft ground where low ground pressure is required.
The company claims that, whereas the majority of off-highway units are conversions of dumpers and highway vehicles with their attendant high ground pressures the load centres, this range has been specially designed for hauling heavy loads over soft and difficult terrain.
The range of chassis available includes three, four and five wheel configurations with Cummins and Caterpillar diesel engines producing 145 to 260kW (195 to 350bhp).
A choice of automatic or manual transmission is offered giving a maximum road speed of 50km/h (31 mph) on certain models.
