Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Portheawl (Glam.) Urban District Council has received a generous offer from 19. local resident, Mr. Maurice Walker, to provide at his own cost a bus station suitable to meet the requirements of all the Porthcawl bus services. The council has accepted the offer and is to co-ordinate timetables so as to facilitate the use of the bus station.

The bus park which is used at pre

sent is congested by the number of vehicles working from it. In addition, the entrance to the park, which is only 13 ft. wide, adds to the difficulties of satisfactory working. Buses now run to Porthcawl, a popular resort, from Cardiff, Swansea, Port Talbot, Bridgend, Pontypridd and from the Rhondda and Mid-Glamorgan mining valleys. The number of these services is mud) increased in the summer months.

The station in question is a large building in the centre of the town, at New Road and it has two-way entrances at the front and rear, these having widths of 36 ft. and 24 ft.

Mr. Walker offers to erect in the building a general waiting-room, busdrivers' and conductors' mess-rooms and other public facilities at his own expense.

The building is equi-distant from the eastern and western sections of the seafront and the town and is situated near. a point in the highway which must be Passed by all the Portheawl service vehicles.
