IT WAS with interest that we read the article "Getting to grips with your tyres" (CM, January 12). Unfortunately an error has crept into the comments about the anti-lock braking system (ABS) for Mercedes-Benz lorries and buses.
In contrast to the ABS for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, the ABS for commercial vehicles was not developed together with the Bosch firm. The antilocking braking for MercedesBenz commercial vehicles resulted rather from cooperation with the Wabco vehicles brakes company in Hanover.
