Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

An interesting trailer coupling arrange mant has been patented by Messrs. Laffly, of Paris. (The firm of Laffly is a branch of the great Schneider concern.) The Laffly trailers, steer with all four wheels, and the steering control rods on the two axles are connected up to two swivelling plates, one at the front and one at the rear of the trailer chassis. These, two Plates are connected together by long diagonal rods placed in the form of a Andrew's cross. It will be seen, then, that any movement of the tractor vehicle will be immediately transmitted to the steering arrangement of the trailer, and from thence to any number of trailers which may be coupled up behind. In practice, it is claime,d that trains of four or five Laffly trucks Can he maineuvred under the most difficult conditions without any trouble at all, as, in making a turn, the curve described by each of the trucks in the train will corC24 respond almost exactly with that made by the leading vehicle.
