At a meeting of the Aldershot Town Council the town clerk reported on an interview with a representative of the Southern Railway relative to the compulsory use of taximeters on prIvilegecl taxicabs standing in the yard of the Southern Railway at Farnborough Station, and suggested that a conference should be convened of the Farnborough Urban District Council, the Aldershot Command and Southern Railway to discuss the whole matter.
It was unanimously resolved that action be taken in accordance therewith, and the health committee was empowered to appoint the deputation to represent the council.
