THE WELSH OFFICE inviting tenders fo strengthening the Chepsto river bridge.
Carrying the A48 over th River Wye at Chepstow, the bridge is overstressed and needs additional strength ening in its three centra arches.
It is hoped to improve th load-carrying capacity of th bridge without detractin from its appearance. The cast iron lattice structure bridg was built in 1816.
And Clwyd County Counci is to invite tenders for a ne grade-separated junction Queensferry near Birkenhead
