A 1.04km (1,140yd) stretch of the A39 Taunton-Fraddon trunk road between Welcombe Cross and Deptford is to be improved.
The existing narrow road has two sharp bends and no verges. The planned improvement will eliminate the bends, widen the carriageway, and put verges on either side.
