• A total of 57 drivers employed by National Carriers Ltd, Edinburgh, have gained National Safe Driving Awards for 1971, many of them for 20 consecutive years of accident-free driving. Chief Supt W. A. B. Johnston, of Edinburgh City Police traffic department, who made the presentations, said the firm's vehicles had completed nearly two .million miles without accidents.
