MR. GEORGE W. LUCAS, governing director of Messrs. Perrin's, of Southampton, has accepted the invitation of the Motor Agents' Association to become President of that body following the resignation of Mr. F. G. Smith, and his election to this office took place on August 20. Mr, Lucas is one of the most energetic personalities on his side of the motor industry, and was largely responsible for the formation by the Ministry of ‘KaT Transport of the Motor Transport Maintenance Advisory Committee. In his new post he will he able to pursue vigorously a policy which should be advantageous to agents and repairers. For many_ months Mr. Lucas devoted much of his time to pressing the demand for repair facilities.
