The Executive Committee of this association met at r, Albemarle Street, W., last week, when the Chairman, Colonel R. E. Crompton, C.B., presided. There were also present : Messrs. F. C. A. Coventry (Great Western Railway); E. Godfrey Brewer (E. R. Calthrop and Partners); S. D. Gilbert (Vanguard Motorbus Co., Ltd.); W. M. Hodges (United Motor Cab Co., Ltd.); W. G. Lobjoit (Hounslow); Douglas Mackenzie; R. R. Robbins (Messrs. Wild and Robbins); E. Shrapnel] Smith (Hon. Treasurer); and Rees Jeffreys (Secretary).

Electros for letter heading.—A specimen design for the electro to be issued to the members of the Association was received, and further instructions were given for its improvement.

" The Commercial Motor " prize schenze.—Entrics to date were reported, and it was decided that the lists should remain open to the 3oth instant. It was also resolved that entries, on this occasion, might be made by drivers in the employ of non-members.

The following were elected to serve on the Judges Committee in connection with this scheme :—Colonel R. E. Crompton, Captain Ba,gnall-Wild, Messrs. F. C. A. Coventry, H. Thomson Lyon, W. G. Lcbjoit, Douglas Mackenzie, and Nigel 0. Walker.

R.A.C. Trials.—A letter was received from the Secretary of the Royal Automobile Club intimating that he had been instructed to forward the following unanimous resolution of the Committee of the Club to the Commercial Motor Users' Association :—" That a hearty vote of thanks be and is hereby accorded to the judges and to the members of the Joint Committee of the Trials, for the way in which they worked to bring the Trials to so satisfactory a conclusion."

Cleanliness.—The award of the Association's cup for the absence of oil-droppings, to De Dion-Bouton (1907), Limited, for its 3-ton lorry, No. E38 in the Trials, was reported. Messrs. Calthrop and Shrapnel' Smith were appointed a sub-committee to obtain the cup.

Roadside water supply.—The Engineer-in-chief of the Metropolitan Water Board wrote intimating that considerable delay bad taken place in the manufacture of a coin meter, but that the matter was being pushed forward with all possible speed.

Lectures before Chambers of Commerce.—The Secretary reported progress in this matter, and that Mr. Shrapnell Smith would prefer to deliver the lectures during the months of February and March.

Annual dinner.--It was resolved to hold a dinner, during the next Commercial Motor Vehicle Exhibition, at Olympia.
