PAT BERRIDGE has been appointed European technical director of TIP Trailer Rental based at the company's Continental head office in Amsterdam.
In his new position he is responsible for all TIP equipment in the UK and on the Continent, including the purchase, maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of 14,000 European based trailers.
Mr Berridge joined TIP in April 1973 as chief engineer for the UK, became UK technical director in 1979 and. a director of the main board the following year.
Before he came to TIP, he spent three years with Alcan Transport Products as marketing manager; four years with Crane Fruehauf where he was a sales and development engineer; and two years as a design engineer with Frankipile.
