Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Trailer Services has struck a deal with Wabco to provide trailer braking maintenance and servicing at five of its UK sites.

Services and marketing director Karl Davies says this agreement is part of an emerging relationship with Wabco that goes back five years. "Trailer braking systems have developed substantially in recent years and the need to keep up to speed on new technology is essential, especially in relation to the current changes and effects of whole vehicle type approval," he said.

The deal means TIP's branches in Felixstowe, Grays, Manchester, Newcastle and Nuneaton are now part of the Wabco Service Partner network. Both companies could extend the agreement across other TIP regional operations within Europe.

Simon Cage, Wabco Automotive UK aftermarket and trailer manager, welcomed the deal. "We are constantly seeking to improve the service standard of our network and this tie-up with TIP's efforts to establish a professional trailer service on complex braking technology to UK fleets is a large step forward," he said.

• TIP Trailer Services has spent more than £120,000 on a new authorised testing facility (ATF) at its depot in Grays, Essex. It is the seventh site in the TIP network to have an ATF, joining Dublin, Felixstowe, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Nuneaton. The Grays site offers testing facilities for all trucks from 7.5 tonnes upwards and ADR.
