Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The French Motorways Association conducted a study last October to investigate the comparative costs of running a 38-tonne truck on a road or on a motorway. The tests were carried out on a 2,020km motorway route and on a road route of 2,275krn. The trip took five days on the motorway route and eight on the other route. Fuel consumption on the motorway route was 25% lower and the total costs for this route after paying tolls and so on were 12.3% lower.
