The Road Haulage Association has a division responsible for tippers and publishes a comprehensive guide to safe operation for members. The advice includes: never tip a vehicle if in any doubt; never walk behind or to the side of a vehicle; never leave a vehicle unattended; and never attempt to clear any obstructions without lowering the vehicle body.
