THE Birmingham warehouse and transport depot of Thomas Meadows and Co Ltd is to close as a direct result of a series of industrial disputes at its Olton depot.
A clerical and advisory operation is to be maintained at the company's Birmingham office but direct cargo collection, handling and distribution services in the city are to be terminated.
