THIEVES MADE a clean getaway after stealing £250,000 worth of toothpaste from a haulage yard in Greater Manchester.

The raid took place at around 11.30pm on 19 July at an industrial site in Pendlebury, Salford. The offenders hot-wired two tractor units before hitching one up to a trailer containing a load of Colgate and ramming the gates to escape.

The attic was later found abandoned at M6/J10, near Birmingham.
