Michael Turta, trading as Walmersley Haulage of Heywood Street, Bury has appeared before the Trafford magistrates accused of falsifying tachograph charts and forging a tachograph chart Turta pleaded not guilty to seven offences of falsifying charts at Dover; one of falsifying a chart between Ostend and Dover; one of falsifying a chart between Dover and Sale, Cheshire; one offence of falsifying a chart between Sale and the Continent; and one offence of forging a chart while on the Continent.
The magistrates decided the
charges were not so serious that Turta ought to be dealt with at the Crown Court, and the magistrates adjourned the proceedings until 22 August.
