• Duckhams, in what it calls a positive move against black sludge, has upgraded its volume brand Hypergrade to meet the new American Petroleum Institute (API) SG specification.
The oil remains a 15w/50 multigrade. By raising the specification from SF to the now optimum SG standard, however, better anti-sludge protection and anti-wear protection are obtained, with no increase in trade price.
