'COUR applications by A. Stevens and Co. (Haulage) Ltd., of Great Ayton, heard at Middlesbrough on December 8 last, have been granted by the Northern deputy Licensing Authority, Mr. H. Bewick, in a reserved, written decision.
Stevens sought a new B licence for two allies to carry goods for Dorman Long (Steel) Ltd. and associated companies throughout Great Britain. If granted, they would surrender Contract A licences and substitute carriage for South Durham Steel and Iron Co. Ltd. for work for Cargo Fleet Iron Co. Ltd.
The other applications concerned the use of heavier vehicles on existing A licences.
