Tunnel is to be closed at weekends for maintenance work. Until the end of March it will be closed from lOpm Friday to Sam Monday.
Southbound traffic, says the DTp, should use the Dartford Tunnel, Woolwich Ferry, Tower Bridge (5t unladen limit) or the Rotherhithe Tunnel (maximum width 2,286mm; maximum height, 4.496mm).
