P. A. Land, managing director of British Express Carriers Ltd, has been awarded the Herbert Crow Medal for his paper -The future of parcels and sundries trafficsubmitted to the Institute of Transport. W. J. Tyson, Faculty of Economy and Social Studies, Manchester University, gets the BET Road Transport Award; and F. Fishwick, of Cranfield School of Management, the Road Transport (Passenger) Medal. On the haulage side, among those taking part in the loT examinations R. Cardwell, transport manager, Ouseborn Transport Co Ltd, receives the RHA Associate Membership Prize for the best road haulier; and R. A. Juby, traffic office trainee, BRS, the Graduate Membership Prize.
