Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A LETTER commending the action of one of their drivers has been received by Andrew Bros., hauliers, Ilaywards Beath, from the chief constable of Brighton,

The driver, Reginald Ernest Watson, prevented a serious accident in a busy Brighton street last month, says the letter. He showed extreme courage and skill when his lorry—loaded with 13 tons of coke breeze which was being towed uphill after an accident broke its tow-rope and ran backwards downhill.

He could not use the air brakes because the engine was not running, and he steered backwards until he could engage a forward gear and halt the vehicle.
