Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new initiative against truck and load theft—the Truck Theft Action PackHelping Hauliers Fight Crime—is launched this week by Commercial Motor, 1 iveco Ford and the Road Haulage Association.

Launching the pack in London, Home Office minister responsible for vehicle security, Charles Wardle said: "The pack provides a wealth of good practical advice to help operators ensure their trucks are secure". Trucks and goods worth up to .£1 billion are stolen each year in more than 40,000 truck crimes, he added.

The pack details everything an operator needs to know to prevent a truck from being next on the thieves' hit list. Just as importantly, it shows what to do if you are a victim.

Information is included on best practice and security devices designed to stop truck theft and how best to deal with insurance claims.

The pack, an absolute must, is available for just £9.95 plus £2.35 P&P, from CM (Offers), PO Box 935, Finchingfield, Braintree, Essex CM7 4LN.

It can be bought direct from the RHA's stand at its TipCon exhibition in Harrogate on 29 April-1 May, and at CM's stand at Truckfest at the East of

England Showground, Peterborough on 1-2 May.
